Celebrating 150 Years of LM Montgomery
Be part of the extraordinary tribute to Lucy Maud Montgomery, Prince Edward Island's favourite author and a national literary icon. She was born on the north shore of Prince Edward Island in 1874 and raised in Cavendish by her grandparents. She achieved international fame with the publication of bestselling novel, Anne of Green Gables, which is set in Prince Edward Island. Since that time, it is believed that more than 50 million copies have been sold worldwide. It was translated into Swedish as early as 1909 and has since been translated into more than 36 languages.
”I cannot remember the time when I was not writing, or when I did not mean to be an author.“
